Amazing place to disconnect
- Great location in the middle of nowhere in nature (11 min by car from the nearest village) - Amazing pool and relax area (the way to the pool is rocky and difficult to access for people with difficulties) - Great breakfast - Close to Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo (we had dinner at Taverna da Matilde, one of the best restaurants we've ever been to, we had Naco de Vitela com cogumelos and Farinheiro a Brás) - WiFi indoors and outdoors - Room with a balcony and 2 chairs - Mini fridge in the room - Amazing place if you like silence and waking up in the middle of nature - We got a complementary wine bottle at checkout
- Bathroom with a translucent wall connected to the room - Central AC, you can't control the temperature and makes loud noise during the night, we didn't sleep well because of this (read reviews about it but booked the room anyway)

Silence and comfort
Silence. This is the place to heal, love, sleep, and enjoy nature. It is also a place to feel grateful for all that we have. The staff is friendly and kind, and the location—perfectly situated in the middle of nowhere—is ideal for disconnecting from all electronic devices. The room (we were actually offered Casa Arminda) is exceptional: a balcony with chairs overlooking the landscape, and a small but convenient kitchen with a microwave and fridge, which were perfect for preparing our daily salads. Guests can book dinner in advance, as there are no regular meals, because this is a romantic getaway, not a hotel. Breakfast is excellent: dairy products, local bread and hams, jams, and orange juice. Activities at the location include cycling, swimming (the pool is lovely, though the water flows continuously, making it cold but refreshing!), and massages (available for an additional fee). You can also exchange books in the library and take walks around the area (make sure to bring comfortable shoes and clothing). Additionally, you can learn the art of "doing nothing," simply enjoying the beauty of nature. Why not? Finally, you can drink a fresh lemonade and eat a juicy apple near the pool, every single day!
This place is synonymous with love for the land and passion for local heritage. The owners deserve praise for their investment in restoring an old village and creating such a beautiful getaway. Here is what we recommend to enhance the guest experience: (1) Mark/Indicate the depth of the pool (2) Improve the signage for the complimentary electric charging stations for guests, and include the information that we have free access to water for cleaning cars and bicycles after a ride. (3) Provide a list of nearby villages that guests can visit, highlighting main points of interest, such as Termas Fonte Santa (with access for 6 euros, including entry to the pool, towel, and robe) + Pinhel Museums +Termas Longroiva, and local festivities + Miradouro da Faia. (4) Establish partnerships with local artisans to showcase and sell their products, including (but not limited to) wine, honey, handicrafts, art, almonds, olives, and olive oil. (5) Create "getaway family/romantic experiences" for 1 or 2 nights, highlighting the best the place has to offer: silence paired with comfort

Oasis in the middle of the Portuguese nature.
-Friendly staff. -Beautiful nature surrounding the hotel. -Fresh, local breakfast ingredients. -Electric car charging facilities. -Nice wooden interior design elements. -Availability of bicycles. -Local welcome drink at reception.
-Better communication of pool opening times would have been appreciated. -The dinner main dish should have some vegetables served alongside it. There were a couple of typical thin Portuguese chips/fries that came with the beef but something else a little healthier could habe been nice. The Chicken Empanada had no side at all. -I think there's a protector sheet over the mattress that's making "plasticy" noise.
